Terms of service

The rules of the road for using Missed Call Machine. Short, plain, and fair.

The service

Missed Call Machine ("we", "us") provides missed-call text-back, caller qualification, and calendar booking for home-service businesses, operated by Jonathan Guy, a sole proprietor. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Your responsibilities

Text messaging terms

Our service sends text messages on your behalf to people who called your business:

Full details for message recipients are on our Text Messaging Disclosures page.

What we promise (and what we don't)

We work hard to keep the service running and your messages flowing. But phone carriers, the internet, and calendar providers sometimes have bad days. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not responsible for jobs lost due to outages outside our control — though we'll always tell you when something's wrong and fix it fast.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend service for non-payment, abuse, or unlawful use. You may cancel anytime. Either way, these terms survive where they need to (payments owed, liability limits).

Changes

We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change matters, we'll tell active customers before it takes effect. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
